PTEP Information
The Property Tax Education Partnership (PTEP) is a collaboration between the UNC School of Government and the North Carolina Department of Revenue. This partnership offers the certification and continuing education necessary to meet legislative educational requirements for North Carolina county assessors and county appraisers. The partnership promotes public service excellence and professional development for North Carolina assessment administration, property appraisal, collection, and property tax policy.
We work closely with the North Carolina Association of Assessing Officers (NCAAO), North Carolina Tax Collector’s Association (NCTCA), and North Carolina Property Mappers Association (NCPMA) to maintain the Property Tax Education Partnership Calendar, a comprehensive calendar of events under the resource tab.
Once courses are open for registration, links to registration should be on the calendar itself. If you need to reach a course contact, the corresponding organization name is listed in the last column of the calendar, and their contact information is listed below.

Registration for PTEP IAAO offerings typically open 6-8 weeks prior and PTEP DOR courses typically open 4-6 weeks prior to the course start date. Announcements will made on the PTAX listserv. Sign up with this link to join the listserv.
